What personal data we collect and why we collect it ?


When filling in the contact or message form, you will be asked for consent to provide your name, email and subject of your message. We will also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

The legal bases for collecting this data are:

  • The legitimate interest of the Axone project in furthering the scientific exchanges and debates around the Axone Project.
  • The consent given when entering the data in the contact / message form.

Content of your comments

Media : If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

When you enter your data and potentially a comment, these will be kept for a maximum duration of five years following the last exchange you will have with the Axone project.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data ?


You have the right at any time to access your data, rectify it, ask for its erasure, oppose to its processing, restrict its processing. You also have the rights to data portability if applicable. You can exercise your rights at any time by sending a mail to projectaxone@crm.microport.com. If after this, you consider your rights are not being respected you can file a complaint with the control authority, cnil.fr
However these provisions do not apply to data we are obliged to hold for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where is your data stored ?


Your data, including comments is stored in the European Union and is not transferred outside the European Union.
